Using a Vending Mover (Continued)
Blower Tips
Extra airflow can be obtained by removing vacuum end cap and filter bag. Remember to reinstall filter bag before using blower for vacuum cleaning.
Blower will become warm and might become hot during extended use. This is normal.
Minor air leaks at switch and blower end cap are normal and within tolerances. If a leak at the cap seems excessive enough to noticeably reduce performance, contact Airsled Support Center.
Two Blower Operation
Only one blower is needed for most situations. If extreme conditions are prevalent, the use of a second blower will give improved performance in balance and ease of movement.
Connect one blower to each air beam. Do not use the tee fitting, but connect the long hose from the blower to the short hose and connect the other end of the short hose to the air beam.
Current draw for two blowers can reach 25 amps, so to avoid blowing fuses try to use separate outlets on different circuits for each blower.
Open the power control valves at the end of the long hose.
Turn on both blowers at the same time.
Close the power control valves and move the machine the same as with one blower.
Optional Air Beams for Special Situations
A set of longer narrower air beams is available for placement from the sides instead of the front. These are useful when a machine has to be moved through a door sideways.
Smaller air beams are available for small vending machines. Some machines may be too narrow for regular SodaFloat® air beams to fit between the legs.
Different sizes of air beams are available for a variety of special applications such as moving pallets or equipment installation.
Safety Warnings
Vending machines may tip over if moved improperly causing serious or fatal injuries. Always observe safe operating procedures.
Air beams must be used on even, level surfaces only. Do not use on curbs, inclines, declines, ramps or stairs. Exercise caution when using on non-level truck beds. Do not use in situations where the vending machine can fall off the back of a truck, loading dock, curb or lift gate. Keep all parts of the body from underneath the air beams and vending machine while using the system.
Maintain a slow and even speed when moving the equipment.
Do not stand or ride on the air beams or machine while being moved.
Do not use on machines with a high center of gravity.
Vending machine door should be securely closed during most moves. When moving with the door open, the operator should have a firm grip on the door to control swinging.
Make sure there is at least a 2 overhead clearance above the vender to avoid possible damage to fixtures.
